Who we are
Beauty & Brawn is a unique curatorial company that specializes in custom art, mural and installation creation, collection building, project management and immersive programming. Owner, Lindsey Meyers, is an artist, curator and creator who believes that art is everything. With a focus on local, national and global artists, Beauty & Brawn loves to tackle creative challenges that lead to memorable experiences, iconic public-facing art and culturally inclusive dialogue. Additionally, Lindsey has a diverse background in arts education, fabrication and programming for both public and private initiatives.
Beauty & Brawn is responsible for some of the most renowned murals and events in Chicago and beyond. Their breadth of clients include: the City of Chicago, Soho House, Elevate Group, Uptown United, Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Hyatt Centric, Mastercard, Supera Asset Management, Peak Properties, the Flint Public Art Project, The Village of Fox Lake, The Chicago Yacht Club, Main Street Greenwood, Visit Clarksdale, Blaine Elementary School and more.
In addition to showcasing a multitude of Chicago artists such as: Jennifer Cronin, CERA, Dovie Golden, Joe Miller, E. Lee, and Emily Rapport, Meyers has worked with artists from Los Angeles (Katy Ann Gilmore and Morley), New Jersey (Joe Iurato), Alabama (Tres Taylor), Italy (Marco Querin) , Berlin (ONUR), Brazil (Eduardo Kobra and Fernando Chamarelli), Argentina (Marina Zumi), South Africa (Ricky Lee Gordon), France (Mateo Wallpainter), Spain (Boa Mistura) and Mexico (Libre HEM, Jorge Moedano and Carlos Santos).
What we do
Beauty & Brawn produce works, conversations and events which offer immersive and socio-psychological engagement opportunities to the viewer. Through art and imaginative curation and collaboration, we showcase creators and performers whose philosophies examine, encourage and ultimately connect the emotional experience to human existence. Beauty & Brawn supports creatives across a variety of artistic disciplines, genres and career levels. We are also proud to facilitate projects that are innovative and unique and which contribute to the narratives about art accessibility and art in both urban and rural landscapes.
We believe our carefully crafted approach lends itself to creating interesting spaces and discussions where joy, expression and energy can seamlessly come together. And through our exclusive partnerships we are able to mindfully elevate our analog work with a cutting-edge digital component, further enhancing meaningful interaction, knowledge and growth.
Lindsey Meyers — Artist, Curator and Owner
Lindsey is a Chicago-based photographer, mixed-media artist, curator and manifestor. She is the passionate owner of Beauty & Brawn and Beauty & Brawn Art Inc. Canada and was the founder and creator of Beauty & Brawn Art Gallery and Think Space in Logan Square, Chicago. Lindsey has been instrumental in changing the narrative surrounding public-facing art in both rural and urban spaces and wholeheartedly embraces the transformative power that lies in intuitive exploration, spirited collaboration and creative connectivity.
Lindsey attended the Chicago Academy for the Arts (Theater ‘94) and Columbia College and received her Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The University of Southern California (‘99). She has exhibited her personal work in various locations including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Alabama and Georgia and is the proud mamabear to two beautiful daughters.
