Lindsey Meyers
Lindsey Meyers is a self-taught photographer and mixed-media artist, originally from the Northeast suburbs of Chicago. She attended The Chicago Academy for the Arts and Columbia College, and received her Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The University of Southern California. Her mixed media work has been evolving as of late through the use of new materials; found objects such as acrylic boxes, slip dresses, and anything else she can find to create with.
Lindsey is a member of Chicago Ideas Week CIW Co-Op, is the President of The Chicago Academy for the Arts Alumni Board and the Co-Creator of Agassiz Elementary School’s Parent Art Co-Op. She recently accepted a board position with I Am Logan Square, as well as became the Logan Square Arts Festival Art Committee head.
In the Fall of 2014, Lindsey participated in, sponsored and facilitated a 200 ft mural by and with artist, Rachel Slotnick, at the Logan Square Blue Line stop on behalf of Beauty & Brawn Art Gallery and Think Space- the multidisciplinary art gallery she opened in March of 2012. Her newest mural project, “Penny For Your Thoughts”, is in collaboration with LA street artist, Morley, and is featured along the Wabash Arts Corridor in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.
Lindsey keeps herself very busy curating, teaching, running the gallery and loving up her two amazing daughters.
